Also many young women feel that prostitution is an appropriate job to support them selves and may quite their rearing at an early age. This we know is an unwise decision, because to have a respectable career you need an education. Another reason prostitution is not good to have around is because of the Pimps who take care of the prostitutes. These Pimps often beat, abuse or kill the prostitute as well...

When I first saw the title for this, I started laughing. How could you mayhap argue pros for prostitution?! But after reading it, I think you presented and argued twain sides quite well. Although...reading the essay hasnt changed my opinion. Im still against the legalization of prostitution.

I belive it should be legalized, you say that if it was, the pimps would still beat their merchandise for lack of a better word. One of the main reasons it would be lagalized is to curb this, they wouldnt need pimps to support them, bail them out of jail, etc... If some looser cant find a women he system have to rape them, he can simply resign himself in this way. i think you have argued your point well, but im afriad that i would still agree with legalisation. It would take away the pathos and stigma placed on these girls, with is far more universally damaging to there mental health than the possibility of a client reawakening memories. It would allow them to have a safe well-heeled base to work from,and garentees that clients would be made to use a condom. Yes , there will be people who do not adhere to the laws, just as there are people who traffic ciggarettes to escape tax when they can easily be bought, but , seeing as this proffesion will never end, i feel that by legitimizing it, you make it safer for all involved.
