Saint Lucy was born in 283 in Syracuse, a Roman state under emperor moth Diocletians rule. She took vows of chastity and consecrated her virginity to Christ. Her am dappleion in sustenance was to armed service and foster the poor. Her father died very early in her intent so she was dependent of her return. Her mother tried to arrange a marriage for her with a man who didnt believe in God. Lucy tried to convince her mother that she didnt want to link because Christ would be a partner in life much more powerful than any superstar. Lucy prayed and prayed for her mother to understand her desire. Then, one day her mothers deathly illness was cured. Her mother greatly apprehended what Christ had done for her, and had agreed to Lucys ambition to serve God. Although her mother was happy with this decision, the rejected pagan was not. He turned Lucy in as a Christian to the governor Paschasius, who tried to channelise her into prostitution. When the guards tried to take Lucy , the strength of the Lord defend her by making her immovable . Since they were unable to move her, they set bundles of timber around her and attempted to burn her. Once again, God had protected and saved her. The guards ultimately killed Lucy in A.D.304 by forking her eye out.




 
One reason I chose Saint Lucy as my bank check name is because she was a young saint. She died when she was 21, a little bit older than me, but still around my age. I treasured to choose a young saint because I panorama I would be able to relate to them and use them as an dream. I definitely turn back Saint Lucy as an inspiration to stand for what you believe in, generally and religiously. I also see her as an inspiration to not be greedy and to help the less fortunate. I admire her because she was courageous and did whatever it took to save up her vows to Christ. She had so much faith in God and neer stopped believing in him, even when the bad was hazard to her.
